PURPOSE: A Ti-Ag alloy for biomaterial having superior strength and corrosion resistance is provided which not only solves problems of low strength when existing Ti or Ti alloy is used as a biomaterial, but also has corrosion resistance that is equal or more superior to that of the existing Ti or Ti alloy and superior biocompatability. CONSTITUTION: The Ti-Ag alloy for biomaterial having superior strength and corrosion resistance comprises 0<Ag<=5 at.%, and a balance of Ti and inevitable impurities, wherein structure of the alloy is a α-β double phase, content of the Ag is 1.5 to 4.0 at.%, purity of the Ti-Ag alloy is 99.8 wt.% or more, and mixing of oxygen into the alloy is limited to 0.15 wt.% or less, wherein addition of 5 at.% or more of Ag to the Ti-Ag alloy has a bad influence upon corrosion resistance as Ti2Ag intermetallic compound is precipitated, the upper limit of Ag is limited to 5 at.% since physical properties are not expected to be improved according to increase of an addition amount of Ag although a large amount of Ag is added to the Ti-Ag alloy, and Ag is an expensive alloy element, and it is preferable to maintain purity of Ti-Ag alloy to 99.8 wt.% or more since mixing of impurities increases strength of the alloy, but greatly reduces corrosion resistance.
