PURPOSE: A multi-functional friction and abrasion tester is provided to perform a friction and abrasion test under a wide variety of test conditions, while allowing for real time analysis on the test result. CONSTITUTION: A multi-functional friction and abrasion tester comprises a test chamber(100) having a predetermined internal space, and which is filled with a fluid and gas and permits pressure and temperature control; a rotation driving unit(200) including a rotation shaft(210) mounted with a specimen(10) arranged on a predetermined portion of the rotation shaft introduced in the test chamber, and a drive motor(220) for driving the rotation shaft; a load generating unit(300) including a specimen holder(320), a load shaft(310) connected to the specimen holder, and a vertical load generating member(330) for applying vertical loads to the specimen by applying loads to the load shaft; and a control unit(400) for controlling the load generating unit and the rotation driving unit in such a manner that constant rotational frequency of the rotation shaft and vertical loads are applied to the specimen, calculating quantity of abrasion in accordance with the vertical loads and rotation torque, and displaying the result of calculation.
