PURPOSE: A device for measuring a vertical displacement of a structure is provided to allow for ease of installation of the device regardless of the shape of the structure, while preventing a wrong operation of the device. CONSTITUTION: A device comprises a fixed member(1) fixed at a pier of a bridge or a column of a construction, and which has a mercury pipe(4) installed within the fixed member; a hose(3) having an end connected to the bottom of the mercury pipe of the fixed member, and which is filled with a mercury; a vertical displacement member(2) connected to the other end of the hose, and which has a mercury box(7) installed within the vertical displacement member; and a resistance wire(5) penetrating through the mercury pipe of the fixed member, and which has both ends connected to a measuring instrument(6).
