PURPOSE: A coating method of display element is provided in which thin film is adhered onto the Al-killed steel more stably even under deformation during processing due to fineness of the thin film by increasing cohesiveness and resolution and reducing doming effect in coating an alloy on Al-killed steel. CONSTITUTION: The method for coating display element by PVD (physical vapor deposition) is characterized in that 1 to 9 wt.% of a Ni-Fe alloy layer having a thickness of 4 to 20 micrometers is deposited on an Al-killed steel sheet for less than 8 seconds under the conditions that a coating power is 5 to 300 kW, voltage is 50 kV, and degree of vacuum is in the range of 1x10¬-4 to 1x10¬-5 torr, wherein thermal expansion of the Ni-Fe coating treated strip is slightly increased according to temperature increase and shows a constant value of 2.01x10¬3 micrometers, about 1/7 of a conventional Al-killed steel sheet, in the temperature range of 150 to 200 deg.C.
