<p>The present invention relates to an adjusting mechanism 1 for the length adjustment of cables 30 which is arranged at the end 32 of a cable 30, comprising: (a) a cylindrical housing 10, (b) an adjusting member 20 which is displaceably arranged within said cylindrical housing (10) and which is biased against said cylindrical housing 10 by a spring 40 wherein (c) a position of said adjusting member 20 can be adjusted in relation to said cylindrical housing 10 to adapt the length of the cable 30.
