A temporarily vibrating measuring tube (TVMT) (101) with a preset measuring tube lumen for carrying a fluid communicates with a connected pipeline via an inlet pipe feeding into an inlet end and via an outlet pipe feeding into an outlet end. The TVMT has a curved tube segment (101c) with a preset dimensional shape that joins a straight tube segment (101a,101b) on the inlet and outlet sides. A first reinforcing element (111), and optionally a second reinforcing element, fits on or near the curved tube segment to stabilize dimensional shape.
