Eggs or other articles are cleaned by placing them in washing liquid in a container 14 removably mounted on a table 42 which is rotated to and fro to agitate the washing liquid. The table 42 is mounted on nylon roller bearings 50 and rotary oscillations are imparted thereto by an electric motor 64 through a reduction gearing 66, driving a rotary crank 68 carrying a roller 72 engaging between parallel guide-bars 74, 76 on the lower surface of the table 42. The upper surface of the table 42 is provided with a ribbed covering layer 58 of waterproof plastic material. |
