METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR POSITION BASED CHATTING SERVICE USING WIRELESS COMMUNICATION TERMINAL

PURPOSE: A method and a system for a position based chatting service using a wireless communication terminal are provided to offer diverse and convenient chatting services of a level offered on a computer communication environment through the wireless communication terminal. CONSTITUTION: The wireless communication terminal(100) is equipped with a Java virtual machine. A WAP(Wireless Application Protocol) gateway(108) converts the text file data on the Internet into the binary code data. A PDSN(Packing Data Serving Node)(110) converts the data transmitted from the wireless base station(102) into a packet data form and transmits it through an Internet network. A Java billing platform(112) calculates a charge of the chatting service. A chatting server(116) provides the chatting service to the terminal(100) through the WAP gateway(108) and the Java billing platform(112). A trade name server(120) stores the nationwide trade name information in order to search the address information for a present position of the terminal(100). A map server(118) generates a map displaying the present position of the terminal(100) and transmits it to the chatting server(116).
