PURPOSE: A lamp operating valve open/closed monitoring limit switch is provided to allow to use AC or DC power for the switch, require no wiring when DC is used, and remotely monitor opened/closed state of a valve. CONSTITUTION: A lamp operating valve open/closed monitoring limit switch comprises a switch lever(1), a contact lever(2), a leaf spring(3), a contact lever(4), a lamp(6), and a lamp(7), when DC powered from a battery(5). The switch lever(1) is in on/off depending on open/closed state of the valve. The contact lever(2) is operated by on/off state of the switch lever(1). The contact lever(2) is moved up/down by the spring(3) to operate the contact lever(4) to be in on/off. The contact lever(4) turns on/off the lamps(6,7). When the valve is closed completely, the lamp(6) is turned on. When the valve is opened completely, the lamp(7) is turned on by contact of an inner contact terminal(10).
