<p>Collecting rings for electrical machines (esp. shielded electrical machines), with the collecting rings made of a non-metallic material and the hub of an insulating material, in which, for the removal of heat from the covers (which are in tight contact with the end surfaces of the collecting ring), the covers and rings (and opt. the hub), are made of a cement, thermoplastic, or thermoset contng. beryllium oxide. The construction is cheap, and removes the difficulty caused by thermal expansion when different materials are used.</p> |
