PURPOSE: A method for fabricating a valve tappet is provided to simplify the fabricating process of the tappet valve and to prevent an upper surface of the valve tappet from being worn by coating the upper surface of the valve tappet with material having superior endurance. CONSTITUTION: An aluminum alloy is subject to an extruding process so that an aluminum alloy billet(3) and a tube(5) having a predetermined inner diameter are fabricated(S1). The aluminum alloy billet(3) is cut into a disc shape having a predetermined thickness and the tube(5) is cut by a predetermined length(S2). The disc is welded to an opening(6a) of the tube(6), thereby forming a tappet body(12)(S3). A chip(16) having a predetermined diameter is press-fitted into the tappet body(12)(S4). An outer surface of the disc is coated with material having superior endurance, thereby forming a valve tappet(S5).
