A moving-coil loud-speaker has a funnelshaped diaphragm 2 with a tubular coil former 3 and an elongated rectangular mouth. A supporting flange 4 on the periphery of the diaphragm is secured to four S-shaped resilient supports 5 which stand on the housing 15 along the four sides of the diaphragm. The S-shaped supports are formed of cloth impregnated with phenol formaldehyde resin. The diaphragm itself is of accreted fibrous material. The loud-speaker includes the usual magnetic system 17, voicecoil 19 and centring spider 18. |
