MEDIUM ADDITIVE FOR ENHANCING THE GROWTH OF MUSHROOM AND ENRICHING CALCIUM

PURPOSE: A medium additive obtained by adding calcium components from oyster shells to a mushroom medium is provided which increases the calcium content and the growth of a mushroom by 1.2 to 1.8 times and 1.4 to 1.8 times respectively. CONSTITUTION: Sawdust as a main ingredient is added with 20 to 25% by weight of rice bran and 1.0 to 6.0% by weight of a calcium component, preferably 4.0 to 5.0% by weight and uniformly agitated to produce a medium having a moisture content of 62 to 65%. Thus obtained medium improves the growth rate of a mushroom.
