PURPOSE: A defrosting apparatus for a vehicle windshield is provided to remove dew or raindrops from the windshield in an effective manner by using the air introduced from outside the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A hood inner panel(2) mounted on an engine room(1) has an air inlet duct(3) which is disposed in a zig-zag system such that the air inlet duct passes over an engine block(4) and is connected to a fender(6) of a front wind shield(5) side and a door trim(8) of a door glass(7), through connection ducts(9a,9b). An outlet port(10) of the connection ducts has an open/shut lever(11) for selectively opening/shutting the outlet port. The air inlet duct has bending portions(3a) which are curved so as to guide an air flow in a smooth way.
