PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a blow molded container comprising a propylene resin and excellent in lightweight properties and the blow molded container comprising the propylene resin and excellent in lightweight properties. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the blow molded container comprising the propylene resin includes a process (1) for extruding the propylene resin containing a foaming agent in a molten state to mold a foamed parison, a process (2) for holding the parison by a mold attached to a blow molding machine and having a container shape, a process (3) for blowing compressed gas with a pressure of 0.02-0.2 MPa against the outer surface and/or inner surface of the parison to cool the surface of the parison, a process (4) for blowing compressed gas with a pressure of 0.3-1 MPa into the parison to expand the parison until the outer wall of the parison comes into contact with the inner wall of the mold and cooling the parison, and a process (5) for taking the foamed blow molded container comprising the propylene resin out of the mold. |
