PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To divide a fermentation tank into a plurality of tanks in fermentation treatment of organic waste by the action of anaerobic microorganisms and to prevent discharge of untreated organic waste as well as to house only organic waster degraded to much the same degree in each of the tanks. SOLUTION: In a fermentation equipment for organic waste in which organic waste is fermentated by the action of anaerobic microorganisms, a fermentation tank in which organic waste is agitated and fermentation-treated is divided into a plurality of tanks and fermentated waste in each of the tanks is automatically transferred from the upper fermentation tank to the lower fermentation tank every time a prescribed time passes.
