PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording method by which a phenomenon of waviness caused by a water-soluble ink to be generated when a residence time becomes longer when longer head is used, is inhibited and an image qualitative abnormality due to an abnormal scattering/deposition of ink droplets, is not incurred, even in an ink jet printer using a long head, and a recording medium. SOLUTION: This recording method uses a serial ink jet printer which has a head measuring 15 mm or more in length, in the subscan direction, and also a water-soluble ink. In addition, the recording method is characterized in that the recording medium which is composed mainly of a cellulose fiber and shows the elongation under exposure to water in the cross direction being not more than 1.8%, is conveyed in the direction where the machine direction of the medium is orthogonal to the conveying direction of the medium in the serial ink jet printer. |
