PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retaining catheter capable of surely performing a tip position fixation with a simple operation and requiring no complicated structure for keeping the tip position fixing function. SOLUTION: This indwelling catheter 10 comprises a balloon 4 provided at the tip part of a flexible tube 1. A liquid absorption swelling polymer 6 is included in the inside of the balloon 4, and the polymer 6 is allowed to communicate with the rear end part of the flexible tube 1 through at least one sub-lumen 7. |
