PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheet cutting device capable of obtaining satisfactory cutting result without causing wrinkles in a paper sheet even if the rigidity of the mounted paper sheet is low. SOLUTION: In this paper sheet cutting device composed of a cutter fixed cutting edge formed straight in the longitudinal direction, a cutter moving cutting edge for cutting a paper sheet while rotating and running in contact with the cutter fixed cutting edge, a moving cutting edge pressing member for energizing the cutter moving cutting edge so as to press it against the cutter fixed cutting edge, a moving cutting edge carrier for holding the cutter moving cutting edge, a moving cutting edge shaft for supporting the cutter moving cutting edge on the moving cutting edge carrier rotatably, and a moving cutting edge drive means for driving the moving cutting edge carrier so as to reciprocate and run along the longitudinal direction of the cutter fixed cutting edge, a paper sheet pressing roller supported rotatably on the moving cutting edge support shaft and pressing the paper sheet to prevent it from floating from the cutter fixed cutting edge is provided.
