<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent clogging of a grinding wheel by activating the repeat of leaving and adsorption of silica abrasive grain adsorbed at the grinding wheel. SOLUTION: A workpiece is loaded on a rotary member and the member is rotation driven. A conductive grinding wheel and an electrode are immersed in an alkaline working liquid with ultrafine silica abrasive grains dispersed, the conductive grinding wheel and the electrode are connected to a positive electrode and a negative electrode, respectively and pulse voltage is applied. The ultrafine silica abrasive grains, thus, are adsorbed to the conductive grinding wheel by electrophoretic phenomenon to perform grinding.</p> |
