PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide sludge drying equipment which can adjust a water content of dried sludge to a given value by controlling an exhaust gas flow rate. SOLUTION: The sludge drying equipment 1A for drying sludge by using pressurized vapor is provided with an electric bulb 11 which adjusts a cooling water flow on the passage of a charging line for supplying cooling water to a scrubber 109 which condenses an exhaust gas exhausted from a centrifugal thin film dryer 106 to dry the sludge. The sludge drying equipment 1A is further provided with a cooling water flow meter 10 to measure the flow rate of the cooling water on the passage from the electric bulb 11 through the scrubber 109. The opening degree of the electric bulb 11 is adjusted on the basis of the measurement result of the cooling water flowmeter 10 to control the condensation degree of the exhaust gas. Thereby, the exhaust gas flow rate exhausted from the centrifugal thin film dryer 106 is controlled, and the dried sludge adjusted to have arbitrary water content is obtained.
