PURPOSE: A hollow fiber membrane module is provided which prevents closing of the hollow fiber membrane by opening an end part of the hollow fiber membrane after completing solidification of fixing resin, and which can be manufactured irrespective of diameter or length of catchment pipe. CONSTITUTION: In an immersion type hollow fiber membrane module for obtaining treated water filtered by directly immersing hollow fiber bundles formed in a plane shape into turbid water, the immersion type hollow fiber membrane module comprises a catchment pipe(10) at one side of which an opening part(12) having a certain width along the length surface of the pipe is installed; a fixed frame(20) which is inserted into the opening part(12), and in which hollow fiber membrane module bundles formed in a plane shape are housed; a hollow fiber membrane(30) an end part of which is inserted into the fixed frame(20) to a certain depth; and a fixing resin(40) filled and solidified in a space between the fixed frame(20) and hollow fiber membrane(30) so that the hollow fiber membrane(30) is fixed, wherein a catching projection(14) is formed on the inner circumference of the catchment pipe(10) to a certain height, and a catching vane(22) bent correspondingly to outer circumferential curvature of the catchment pipe(10) is formed at the edge of the upper outer circumferential surface of the fixed frame(20).
