PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an end face polishing device in with improved polishing precision in rod-like members such as optical communication fiber or a ferrule holding the optical communication fiber and simplified polishing working. SOLUTION: In this end face polishing device, an end face of a rod-like member is polished by pressing the rod-like member loaded on a jig board to a polishing member on a polishing disk wheel which is supported by a device body to be rotated and oscillated. The jig board 25 is pressed via an abutting part thereof on a supporting part 25 provided at the device body. The abutting part 32 is provided on the polishing disk wheel side with respect to the gravity center of the jig board. |
