PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film covering method capable of covering a housing with a PET film without generating wrinkles in the PET film and deforming the patter drawn on the PET film, capable of preventing the generation of a partial thin-walled part in the PET film applied to the housing, and capable of covering even a deep product with the PET film. SOLUTION: The periphery of the PET film 14 is grasped at a plurality of places by movable stretching members 12 and 13, and the PET film 14 is almost uniformly stretched in one or more directions by allowing the movable stretching members 12 and 13 to retreat in such a state that the PET film 14 is heated to a thermal deformation temperature or higher. Next, the slackened parts of the stretched PET film 14 are stretched by allowing the movable stretching members 12 and 13 to advance, and the PET film 14 is pressed to the housing 7 in a vacuum forming device 3 by ending compressed air into the vacuum forming device 3. |
