PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformly fill a replenishing ink in a short time in an ink cartridge after used. SOLUTION: The replenishing ink (35) is supplied to an ink storage space (21) while the pressure of the ink storage space inside the ink cartridge (10) is reduced. A device for realizing this is provided with a housing (26). The housing specifies a pressure reduction chamber (32) having a suction port (38) and an exhaust port (40), and an ink storage chamber (34) having an ink lead- out port (42) and an atmosphere take-in port (44). The pressure reduction chamber and the ink storage chamber, and the interior of the cartridge communicate with each other through the suction port, the ink lead-out port and two openings when ink is replenished. |
