PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a pseudo pigment spreading color picture including noise components in an electronic endoscope instrument. SOLUTION: A processor 100 obtains a red pixel signal, a green pixel signal and a blue pixel signal for a single frame from a scope 10. When the signal level value of a specific pixel is lower than the average signal level value of adjacent surrounding pixels, the processor 100 reduces the signal level values of the red and green pixel signals concerning the specific pixel and displays the pseudo pixel spreading color picture in which a blue component is emphasized on a monitor device 200. A picture stabilization circuit 132 improves the picture of the pseudo pixel spreading color picture by referring to a former frame at least.
