PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planting roof structure making it possible to hardly spoil the beauty of a planting mat as a vegetation part while maintaining the mat in a stably laid condition. SOLUTION: This planting roof structure is formed as follows: laying a planting mat S2 holding plantings 1 on a roof part B2 to construct a planting part S, fixing the planting mat S2 on the roof part B2 with a fixing tool 3 which passes completely through the planting mat S2, wherein a windbreak cover 8 freely controlling the wind against the edge part of the planting mat S2 is arranged at the edge part of the planting part S and fixed on the roof part B2.
