PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake control device capable of preventing an insufficiency of a braking force and a gradual deceleration of a wheel speed when an anti-skid control is performed in the state that a brake hydraulic pressure is low. SOLUTION: The brake control device is provided with an anti-skid control means a for detecting a slip rate of the wheel at the time of braking and carrying out a reduction of pressure to solve the lock tendency when the wheel becomes a lock tendency, and thereafter, carrying out at least an increase of pressure to execute an anti-skid control for controlling the brake liquid pressure to the optimum value; and a brake assist means b for carrying out a brake assist by feeding the brake hydraulic pressure of higher pressure than the brake hydraulic pressure corresponding to a brake stepping force of the driver at the time of braking. The brake assist means b is constituted such that the brake assist is carried out regarding at least one wheel at the time of anti-skid control.
