PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate refractory for sliding nozzle which can prevent the enlargement of crack and has a long service life. SOLUTION: This plate refractory for sliding nozzle, is provided with the plate refractory 3 arranging a nozzle hole 2 which controls flowing-out amount of molten metal and forms as deflecting to one side in the longitudinal direction, and a frame-like iron shell 4 fit to the peripheral surface part of this plate refractory 3, and arranges arc parts 3a, 3b, 3c at both side surfaces and both end surfaces in the longitudinal direction in the above plate refractory 3, and the arc parts 3a at both side surfaces have 100-10000 mm curvature radius.
