The compression device (9,10,11) for compacting collected rubbish in a container (1) comprises a structure (9) placeable on the inlet aperture in the upper side of the container, in which two parallel rollers (10,11) are located spaced apart and rotatable in opposite directions. Between the rollers the rubbish to be compacted is fed and at least one roller (11) is provided with a drive. At least one of the rollers is located in bearings closed under spring force, so that the distance between the rollers is variable. The drive is exernal, or located inside one roller and can comprise a low voltage electric motor. At least the roller providd with the drive has a releasable cover, of which the outer surface comprises an anti-slip material. |
