The neck and shoulder portions of a container are injection moulded, and the body of the container extruded, the shoulder and body portions being subsequently blowmoulded. Separate injection moulds 45, 46 are provided for the shoulder and neck portions respectively, the moulds 45, 46 co-operating with core pieces 42, 47 respectively. Severing of the extruded portion from the supply may take place below the mould 45, Fig. 4 (not shown), or above it, Fig. 5 (not shown).
