NEW ANTIMICROBIAL PROTEIN DERIVED FROM GENTIANA TRIFLORA AND ITS GENE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new antimicrobial protein, its gene and a method for utilizing the same. SOLUTION: This new antimicrobial protein (Gentiana triflora LTP1 and LTP2) derived from Gentiana triflora and its gene are isolated. The protein is produced by a gene recombination technique and a transgenic plant having improved disease injury resistance is provided by transducing the gene.
