METHOD FOR PREACTIVATING CATALYSTS

The invention relates to a method for preactivating catalysts for polymerisi ng C2-C20 olefins. According to said method, the catalyst is first mixed with t he respective monomer. The co-catalyst is then added, optionally, and the resulting mixture is subjected to preactivation in a tubular reactor. Finall y, the catalyst that has been preactivated in this way is introduced into the actual polymerisation reactor. The mixture of the catalyst, optionally, the co- catalyst and the monomer is guided through the tubular reactor in the form o f a turbulent plug flow with a Reynolds number of at least 2300.
