摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a body structure for a cantilever rectangular coordinate type machine that secures compactness and is capable of highly accurate positioning. SOLUTION: A slide body 22 is slidably engaged in an X-axis guide groove 21 formed along an X-axis in an X-axis mounting surface 14 at a top surface of a column 12. An L-shaped bracket 23 is fixed to an upper part of the slide body 22. A cantilever Y-axis mounting bracket 26 is fixed to an upper part of the L-shaped bracket 23 and extends forward (toward a work table 4). An X-axis linear guide 24 is provided in parallel with the X-axis guide groove 21 at an upper part of a back surface of the column 12 that is opposite to a side over which the Y-axis mounting bracket 26 extends. A guide groove 25 is provided at a lower end of the L-shaped bracket 23 and slideably engages with the X-axis linear guide 24. Since the guide groove 25 provided at the lower end of the L-shaped bracket 23 engages with the X-axis linear guide 24 fixed to the column 12, a turning moment of the cantilever Y-axis mounting bracket 26 is restricted by upper and lower surfaces of the X-axis linear guide 24.</p>
