PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic toothbrush which is safe and has a cleaning effect. SOLUTION: As a result of clinical testing, a temperature rise of >=1 deg.C is not admitted in the segments of organisms irradiated with ultrasonic waves when output of ultrasonic vibrations is smaller than 10 mW/cm<2> and the dental plaque is sufficiently not removed and conversely, the temperature rise of >=1 deg.C is confirmed in the segments irradiated with the ultrasonic waves when the output is greater than 100 mW/cm<2> .
