PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planting block widely utilizable for rooftop greening or kitchen gardening because of harmonizing with natural scene and enabling a user to plant and grow seeds/seedlings of various kinds of plants including shallow-root plants such as lawns, vegetables, and flowering plants. SOLUTION: This planting block has built-in culture soil 3 mixed with plant growth fertilizers, and comprises a piled/solidified layer 1 formed of a porous and massive material 2 through which air flow holes, seed/seedling planting holes or both of them 4 are made so that the respective holes communicate with the culture soil 3.
