PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relieve the withstand voltage of a chopper switch. SOLUTION: A device is provided with an AC power source 10, a chopper inductor 20, an AC-operating chopper switch 30, which applies the voltage of the AC power source 10 intermittently to a chopper inductance 20, a first smoothing capacitor 41 and a second smoothing capacitor 42 connected in series, a first auxiliary diode 51 which applies the positive polarity voltage of the AC-operating chopper switch 30, a second auxiliary diode 52 which applies the negative polarity voltage of the AC-operating chopper switch 30 to the second smoothing capacitor 42. The first smoothing capacitor 41, the second smoothing capacitor 42, the first auxiliary diode 51, and the second auxiliary diode 52 form voltage doubler rectifier circuits. The AC operating chopper switch 30 is disposed at the previous stage of the voltage multiplying rectifier circuits 41, 42, 51, 52, which forms a pre-rectifying switch type. It is thus possible to relieve the proof load of the AC operating chopper switch 30. |
