The connector for a fluid pressure pipeline has a tube (10) with an inner channel for receiving the pipe end and a ring (17) to locate the pipe axially. The tube has projecting ring (23) on its exterior surface to retain it in a mounting hole in a housing. There are stops (22) to selectively prevent the pipe end mounted in the tube from engaging its end position. The stops move to the retracted position when the tube is mounted in the hole.
