The adjustable mounting for a motor vehicle mirror (14) has a pair of offset cables to pivot the mirror forwardly or rearwardly around a single axis. The adjuster has a wheel mounted for rotation on an axis and the first ends of the cables (22,24) are connected to the wheel (26). The second cable ends are fixed to a support plate (20) for the mirror.
