<p>A tool for fitting and removing of gears on a gear block of a bicycle has holes provided at one end of a spanner, to secure two lengths of chain which are used to grip the gear being fitted or removed. The two chain lengths are linked by a connecting link which is secured to one of the holes. The chains are secured by simple fasteners which are retained by pins with a ratchet grip, or they are simply secured by spring clips. The chains are easily removed to allow free application of the spanner, which can be open ended, a ring spanner or a combination of both.</p> |
