An information providing system collects information without using a dedicated system such as a sensor terminal and provides the information to a terminal apparatus. The system includes a fixed information transmitter and a sensing information transmitter. When the terminal apparatus 23 is located in a predetermined space sensor field, it receives predetermined fixed information from the fixed information transmitter and sensing information obtained as a result of sensing a physical event or physical amount from the sensing information transmitter. The terminal apparatus transmits these information acquired together with a processing request via a network 22 to an information processing server 21. The information processing server performs processing according to the processing request and the acquired information so as to create processing information and providing the processing information to the terminal apparatus.
