PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transaction settlement system capable of providing tax payment technique suitable for Internet transactions on the basis of prevention of leakage of personal information, prevention of mistakes of the ordered contents and realization of transaction records. SOLUTION: A merchandise sale server transmits pieces of identification information about a consumer, identification information about a seller of merchandise, information about the merchandise, information about a sale price of the merchandise and an amount of consumption tax to a terminal of a banking facility via the Internet when an order request of the merchandise from a terminal of the consumer and the identification information about the consumer are accepted. Then, the terminal of the banking facility receives pieces of the information transmitted from the merchandise sale server and transmits them to a settlement processor of the banking facility via an exclusive line. Then, the settlement processor receives the pieces of information transmitted from the terminal of the banking facility. Then, the settlement processor of the banking facility carries out a transfer processing of the sale price of the merchandise from a bank account of the consumer to a bank account of the seller of the merchandise and simultaneously carries out a transfer processing of the amount of the consumption tax of the merchandise from the bank account of the consumer to a bank account of a collecting facility of taxes. |
