PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position information notifying method for a wireless mobile device for relieving a load of a mobile communication network and reducing the cost of a position information notifying charge. SOLUTION: When a retriever mobile device transmits a position information acquisition request signal to a position information notifying server via a mobile communication network ((1)'), the position information notifying server transmits a base station information request signal to a positioning information notifying mobile device ((2)'). The positioning information notifying mobile device receiving this signal creates a base station information acknowledgement signal from base station installation information stored in advance and transmits the acknowledgement signal to the position information notifying server ((3)'). After the position information notifying server transmits/receives a positioning signal to/from the positioning information notifying mobile device ((4)'), generates the position information acquisition acknowledgement signal and transmits the signal to the retriever mobile device ((5)').
