GATEWAY DEVICE AND ITS CONTROL METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gateway device that allows a mobile phone or a personal computer connected to the Internet to use the same IPv6 address at all times to access a non-IP device in a home. SOLUTION: A non-IP device 100 stores an interface ID specified by the IPv6. A gateway 110 prepares and stores an IPv6 address for the non-IP device 100 by using the interface ID. Then the gateway 110 converts the protocol of a packet from a mobile phone 130 or a personal computer 140 connected to the Internet into the protocol of a network to which the non-IP device 100 is connected and transmits the resulting packet to the non-IP device 100.
