PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a cost in a production reasonable, that is, to improve productivity, to assure safety in use and environmental conservation and appearance design properties. SOLUTION: A case for equipment is constituted to protect an internal member of an electric device. The case comprises a case member having a resin coating film 11 having a thickness of 8 to 20 microns on a surface and using a coating melt zinc-plating steel sheet having zinc-plating 10 having a thickness of 4 to 10 microns at the inside of the film 11. Thus, a coating step is not required to improve the productivity, to reduce a cost of a storage expense of the case member before and after the coating step, and to decrease the environmental conservation cost. Since the case does not have a protective seal made of a resin, a laser which cannot be used in view of the prevention of yellowing of the seal can be utilized to cut the end of the member, and hence the cutting face having extremely high working safety with smooth edge without burrs can be obtained.
