PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a barrier forming method for a plane display device capable of accurately forming a barrier of high aspect ratio and its device. SOLUTION: A barrier material Mw is discharged from the inclined direction F inclined in front in the relative moving direction of a nozzle 17 to a back plate S, and thereby, a horizontal speed component Vh in the direction same as the relative moving direction of the back plate S can be given to the barrier material Mw discharged to the back plate S, and the horizontal speed component Vh of the barrier material Mw is made equal to the relative moving speed component Vs of the back plate S by the relative move of the nozzle 17 and the back plate S to make the speed difference small, and thereby, deformation of the discharged barrier material Mw can be suppressed, and the barrier material Mw is formed in the back plate S while a desired shape formed in a discharge port 17a of the nozzle 17 is kept. |
