摘要 <p>The invention relates to an automatic method for picking up cuttings from plants, determining whether a given cutting is acceptable according to predefined criterias and placing these cuttings in pots or containers containing a suitable cultivation substrate. The invention furthermore relates to a system for carrying out this method and to a movable and controllable tool for picking up the cuttings with a proper orientation, if necessary providing holes in said cultivation substrate for the cuttings and placing the cuttings in the substrate in a well-defined manner relative to the substrate and the pots, specifically with the upper end of all cuttings placed at an equal height above the upper surface of the substrate.</p>
