The current position of an injection nozzle between stoppers (41,42) sensed by a sensor, is transmitted to a controller. Electromagnetic coils position the nozzle optimally using the controller, based on duration of each of interruptions (47,48) in electric current passage of the coils and sensed position of the nozzle. An Independent claim is also included for injection nozzle positioning apparatus.
