PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video sound information distributing system for mediating the contention of channel selection requests between clients so that all the clients in a network can equally select channels and can securely and continuously receive video sound information on a target channel. SOLUTION: An user interface 202 of a client 200A outputs channel selection request information CR and transmits the number of the target channel inputted by a remote controller R to a server 100A. When a channel selection managing part 104 receives the channel selection request information CR, it refers to a channel selection right table TA in a memory 103. When the channel selection right table TA includes ID of a channel selection request client or an idle line, the channel selection managing part 104 instructs an outer interface 102 to input video sound information SAV from the target channel by a channel selection control signal CS. Thus, the server 100A distributes the video sound information SAV of the target channel into the network 300.
