PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems in realizing a trace of separately preparing trace buffers for retaining trace information and excessively taking a time for copying the all the trace information in the trace buffers at the timing of tracing. SOLUTION: A set of the buffers to be used by a program is controlled in such a structure that the top buffer is linked to a next buffer in order so as to scan all the buffers. In using the buffer, an unlinked buffer is used from the top of the link structure, and when finishing the use of the buffer, it is returned to the last of the link structure with its contents retained. The set of the buffers is scanned again from the top buffer in order and the contents of the buffer are analyzed, thus realizing the trace.
